Have you ever been to Spain?

My (SLOVAKIAN) report from Spain

In the sense of international team-work with student magazine, called The Yec,

I visited Spain. By this report I would like to tell you more interesting things about the capital city of Spain, Madrid, and its see-side town, San Sebastian.

Madrid is the highest situated capital city in Europe. The most known historical building is the royal palace (Palacio Real). It is the most visited place by tourists every year from all over the world. You cannot overlook the high security right in the entrance. The Palacio Real has got very beautiful gardens. Another interesting place is the square called Plaza Mayor. There are a lot of shops, coffee places where you can see artists painting your portraits. The most famous museum in Madrid is Museo del Prado.

San Sebastian is located around cove and the river Río Urumea. San Sebastian used to be a small town, but now it is a very prosperous recreational place. It has some very beautiful sandy beaches. You’ll find there a lot of surfers from every corner of the world. And why? The waves are the biggest in Europe. The old part of the town is famous by having the biggest concentration of bars in the world. Another interesting place is the castle called Palacio de Miramar with its gardens. In past it was the summer castle of the Queen Isabel II. You can also visit the Aquarium, there you can see the underwater live and a few sharks.

Our trip was finalized by night journey back to Madrid and by flight to Slovakia. I was happy to be back at home with a lot of nice memories.

Spain is a fantastic country. So – have you ever been to Spain? No? It’s a pity.
