The YEC (Young European Citizen) is an online
electronic magazine made by and for young people in
Europe.
The YEC is a collaborative effort, and all content
is written by 14 -19 year-olds in various European countries. Schools
from Norway, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, Slovakia,Spain, Czech Rep.,Greece
and another English School, Ashlyns, from Berkhamsted have been
working very hard to establish the format.
During 2003 Teachers from Adeyfield School in
Hemel Hempstead decided to embark on a very ambitious project -
to produce a Europe-wide student newspaper for 14-19 year olds.
What they have achieved so far with the support of The British Council
Comenius
project, is represented in this web site and by the summer of 2007
will also be produced as a hard copy paper as well.

From
the 2005 conference in Heraklion, Greece
